Op 24 juli gaat de DCYR weer van start met de funrace vanuit Willemstad naar Hellevoetsluis. Maar voor het zover is organiseren wij eerst de kick-off meeting op:

28 april as om 14.00 uur

Deze middag staat weer in het licht van klassieke schepen en wedstrijden.

Gerard Dijkstra vertelt ons over zijn werkzaamheden van de afgelopen 40 jaar als ontwerper en restaurateur van klassieke schepen.
Daarna wordt uw kennis over het wedstrijdregelement door Henk Plaatje getest. zie watersporttest.nl

The International German Championship of Nordic Folkboats will take place from September 21 to September 27, 2019 in Berlin / Germany.
The Notice of Race is published in Manage2Sail. Entries can be submitted starting February 16, 2019; entry deadline is August 25, 2019.

Van de San Francisco Bay Folkboat Association ontvingen we de volgende aankondiging:

The San Francisco Bay Folkboat Association (SFBFA) is sponsoring the 18th San Francisco Cup International Regatta for Nordic Folkboats to be held September 29, through October 4, 2019, at the Corinthian Yacht Club (CYC), Tiburon, California. (www.cyc.org)

Races will take place at several different Bay venues. The variety of locations will give visiting sailors an opportunity to experience all parts of beautiful San Francisco Bay. There will be a “tune-up race” and approximately 7 competitive races. In addition, CYC and SFBFA are planning a number of social activities beginning with an opening ceremony on Sunday and ending with an awards dinner on Friday night.

De Notice of Race van het Duits Internationaal / Deens DIF Folkboot Kampioenschap, dat van 14 tot 18 augustus 2018 in Flensburg gehouden wordt, staat online op www.manage2sail.com.

De organisatie kijkt er naar uit u op de deelnemerslijst te zetten. Neem contact op met het race comité bij vragen. Onder de eerste aanmeldingen (vóór 30 april 2018) zal een speciale prijs verloot worden!

We ontvingen een wake-up call van het Simrishamns Segelsällskap voor de Gold Cup en tegelijk Zweeds Kampioenschap. Het evenement vindt plaats in Simrishamn in juli.

“The preparations for Swedish Championship and Gold Cup for Nordic Folkboats in Simrishamn in July 2018 continues. Now is time to plan for the summer and to register participation in this the great Nordic Folkboat event of the year. Already there are some boats registered, but we believe in and plan for a lot more.

Beste Folkboaters,
Zojuist bereikte mij het vreselijke bericht dat geheel plotseling is overleden onze toegewijde webeditor Erik Klappe (54). Maandag a.s. wordt hij gecremeerd.
Erik was een gedreven Folkboatzeiler en zeilde door tot het schaatsseizoen. Hij heeft een aantal jaren met grote inzet en veel enthousiasme de NFC-website levendig gehouden en de Folkboatspirit aangewakkerd door het faciliteren van onze Facebookpagina.
De F-community heeft een gepassioneerd zeiler verloren.
